The President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the Deputy Minister of Transport of the Community of Madrid, Carlos Díaz-Pache, the Mayor of Getafe, Sara Hernández, and the CEO of Metro, Silvia Roldán, visited the extension works of Line 3 of Metro de Madrid, S.A., from El Casar station (Getafe) to Villaverde Alto (Madrid), that OSSA is running in consortium with Grupo Azvi y COTODISA OBRAS Y SERVICIOS.
The works, which began in February 2022 and have an execution period of 22 months, consisting of the construction of a 2,645m tunnel excavated using the traditional Madrid method (2,135m) and using screens (515m). This extension will connect the eastern arc of Metrosur with the rest of the metro network in a fast and efficient way allowing you to disembark directly at the Puerta del Sol in just 30 minutes. El Casar station will have a direct connection with L12, C3 and will have a deterrent parking which will allow connection with other modes of transport.
