El Duranguense Tunnel (Mexico).

This video shows the progress of the El Duranguense road tunnel, which OSSA is building in Durango (Mexico). It involves the extension of the section of an existing tunnel of 515 metres in length (going from a 5×5 metre section to a 12×8 metre section). The excavation is carried out entirely with drilling and blasting, the primary support is with fibre-infused shotcrete, installation of 6-metre-long friction bolts injected with resin and a final layer with fibre-free shotcrete. For the lining, waterproofing is carried out and reinforcing steel is placed along the entire length of the tunnel for subsequent concreting with a 9-metre-long formwork truck.nt.
