The integration of renewable energy sources into the power generation system is limited by the difficulty of forecasting generation due to their high variability and the complex adaptation required to meet peak demand in daily dispatch. A scenario of growth in renewable generation entails the need to redesign the electricity system, facilitating stable grid integration and preventing energy curtailment.
